Wineries
Over 4000 winemakers and over 200 bottling companies transform Asti’s steep marl and sandy slopes into vibrant Moscato d’Asti and Asti Spumante—fragrant, fizzy wines enjoyed worldwide.
Around 4000 winemakers and over 200 bottling companies work hand-in-hand on the steep “Sorì” hills of Asti. From tiny cascine (family farms that often moonlight on Barolo’s reds) to heavyweight spumante houses, they funnel hand-picked fruit into everything from picnic-light frizzante to Martinotti-method Asti Spumante. Their web of neighbourly contracts, shared presses, and grower-run co-ops is the engine behind Piedmont’s most aromatic sparkle—and the reason every label tells a different hillside story.
