Casa Vinicola ABBAZIA is located in Santo Stefano Belbo, a small village between Monferrato, Langhe and Roero. Our own vineyards, exposed to the warm sun, are perfectly positioned on hillsides that have been producing quality wines since the 9th century. The beauty of this landscape is recognised by UNESCO. The soils consist mainly of limestone and clay marls with sand veins. We are a family-run winery. Since 1848, the family has been transforming the bunches of our grapes into glasses of sparkling wine. The name Abbey derives from the historic 12th century Benedictine monastery on which the winery was founded. The entire production process is guaranteed by HACCP and since 2011 third-party bodies (IFS and BRC) regularly certify our quality standards. As a confirmation of our 'know-how' in sparkling wine production, we are members of the 'Consorzio dell'Asti DOCG'.

Our history started in the '60 when my grandparents Aldo and Maddalena took out loan in a bank to start their first farm. They were selling grapes: mostly Moscato and some red grapes. Then in 1994 two of their siblings and their wives (Marco and Luciana, Vittorio and Grazia) decided to continue the businnes starting the first production of wines founding the winery Adriano Marco e Vittorio. Since 2014, Vittorio and Grazia's daughter has been working in the business and now managing the company together with the family (after Vittorio loss in 2022)

Founded in the 1960s by Giacomo Bologna—who inherited the family vineyard and the nickname “Braida”—the estate has played a pioneering role in redefining Piedmontese wines, especially Barbera. Today, Braida is led by siblings Giuseppe and Raffaella Bologna, both winemakers, with the fourth generation now joining the legacy.
The estate's iconic Moscato d’Asti, Vigna Senza Nome, is grown on the hillside of Mango in the Langhe, a vineyard acquired in 1990. Its label features the Latin palindrome “Sator Arepo Tenet Opera Rotas”, meaning “The farmer directs the work of the plough”—a motto that embodies Braida’s vision of purposeful, passionate winemaking.
The letter G on the label stands for the generational heritage: Giuseppe → Giacomo → Giuseppe → Giacomo Jr. (from 2025), symbolizing the continuity of knowledge and care passed down through time.

Cantine Povero is a historic family-run winery established in 1837, located in Cisterna d’Asti, in the heart of Piedmont. With 50 hectares of certified organic vineyards and 50 hectares of forests and meadows, our philosophy is rooted in a deep respect for nature and the winemaking traditions of our land.

Our vineyards are situated in some of Italy’s most prestigious wine regions – Roero, Langhe, and Monferrato – allowing us to produce a wide range of traditional Piedmontese wines, including Barbera, Barolo, Arneis, and Moscato d’Asti.Our commitment to sustainability is embodied in the Equilibrio Natura project, through which we preserve one-third of our estate as woodland, promoting harmony between viticulture and biodiversity.

Restructured in 2000, the Carlin de Paolo goes back to the 1920's and is now on its 4 th generation. The new young vibrant generation is made up of 4 brothers, from the age of 23 - 43 - (a 20 year gap) who transformed the winery which is now completely organic and sustainable. The new entry 18 year old neice Francesca is taking an active part in the comunication towards the younger generation with her instagram posts.

An estate is initially a project. And a project is a dream which gradually takes shape, first of all on paper, then on the land and finally, for us, in our wine. Our project starts from two simple ideas: respect for nature and alignment with technological progress. Simple does not, however, mean easy. There have been times when we’ve really had to push forward and others in which we’ve had to stand with our feet planted firmly on the ground; we’ve had to invest in land, technology and, above all, research. This is how we’ve created Cascina Castlèt. The grapes are grown in 31 hectares of vineyards in Costigliole d’Asti.
We have concentrated on the land, our land, and on the local grape varieties: Barbera, Moscato, Uvalino and Nebbiolo, but also on Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, this last variety having been grown in Costigliole since the late 18th century, when Marquis Filippo Asinari of San Marzano planted it for the first time.
Cascina Castlèt has belonged to the Borio family for generations. I, Mariuccia, inherited it from my father in 1970. Over the years I’ve had to make brave decisions, also with regard to marketing, with bottles and labels that have been seductive, sometime provocative and very individual. A touch of creativity has always gone into the names of our wines: Passum, Policalpo, Avié, Litina, Goj, Ataj and Uceline. They all have a little secret, a story, which we invite you to try and discover.

Our story begins here. This is an excerpt from the deed of sale for the house you can see in front of you. Four generations have passed, yet we still live here. And if you see children running around and making noise during your visit, know that you're witnessing the fifth generation!
Back in 1934, Moscato was filtered using Dutch cloth bags and sold to large sparkling wine producers, while Barbera was reserved strictly for family consumption. Then came the turning point. It was 1959. Grandfather Giuseppe and his son Angelo were sitting just outside the front door, stripping willow branches to tie the vines. A man passing by on the road asked them, “Excuse me, do you make wine?” Grandpa smiled, grabbed a glass, and said, “Come with me.” That was the start of something big. He became the first person to buy our wine—and to this day, his family still comes to us. Many others followed soon after.
Angelo’s son, Giuseppe, driven by passion and ambition, carried on the family tradition while bringing in innovations. The old grape press was replaced with a modern pneumatic press for gentler extraction, the first bottling machine was purchased, and the outdated concrete tanks gave way to stainless steel vats. Over the decades, the winery has continuously evolved and modernized.
And even today, innovation and tradition remain tightly intertwined.

My name is Valter Barbero and I am the owner of Cascina Pian d’Or, a winery located in the heart of the Langhe, in Mango. Our story is the result of three generations of dedication to viticulture, beginning with my grandfather Giovanni and continued by my father Giuseppe. Both cultivated Moscato grapes with passion and sacrifice, selling them to the major sparkling wine producers of Piedmont. I decided to take a different path: to transform those golden bunches into a wine capable of telling our story.
As a child, I spent my days in close contact with my grandfather and my father, learning the art of viticulture. Every break among the rows of vines was a magical moment: bread, salami, and a glass of Moscato became a ritual, a small fragment of happiness that stayed with me over time. Those experiences taught me that wine is not just a product: it is a bond with the land, with family, with life. In 1989, at the age of 21, I decided to follow my heart and give a face to my family’s work. It was a bold, almost crazy choice, but the desire to create something of my own, something authentic, was stronger than any obstacle. Every bottle I produce today carries that dream, that passion, and the sacrifices of those who never stopped believing.
Making this dream come true required enormous sacrifices: many called me “crazy,” including my own family. But I knew it was the right path, and nothing would stop me. Today, I look with pride at what we have built: a winery that respects nature, technologies that preserve what the land gives us, and a constant commitment to sustainability. I believe that wine should be a bridge between the past and the future, an experience that conveys authenticity and innovation in every sip.
My greatest dream is to make Moscato d’Asti known all over the world, challenging the prejudices that see it as just a “party wine.” For me, Moscato d’Asti is much more: it’s poetry in a bottle, an expression of beauty and authenticity that deserves to be celebrated every day. I want every glass to tell a story: the story of a generous land, of hardworking hands, and of a passion that knows no boundaries.

Wines Caudrina, all D.O.C., are the expression of long experience and considerable vitality and developmental ability.

Stubborn as most of the winemakers from the Langhe, Romano Dogliotti remains tied to the traditions but open to new technologies of which wanted to equip his new winery.

The result is a wine production at the highest level, worthy heir of the noble Piedmontese tradition but open to the future, with attention to different market needs and a clientele of connoisseurs increasingly careful and documented.

We are in San Marzano Oliveto, in the province of Asti, in the factories of Cavalier Dario, one of the most important local wine companies that produce a varied selection of wines, from classic Piedmontese excellences to grappes, to every day wine, dessert and sparkling wines.
The winery of the “Rampant Lion” was founded in 1968, when Dario Bersano and this wife Giuseppina decided to develop his father’s business and devote themselves to producing and bottling selected wines.
In 1992, their son Roberto, at the age of 18, joined the company. Therefore, he decides a strategy to win a big segment of the Italian market and enter the foreign market: renovation of plants and participation in exhibition and promotional activities provide a restyling of the company and its products.
Six years later, Selectvini Srl, a company that gather two historical marks of wine industry in Asti: “ Casa Vinicola Cortese” , created in Canelli in 1875, and “ Casa Vinicola Pistone Luigi”, created in Asti in 1860. This company’s trade is focused on export (80%) with a renewal process to broaden the Cavalier Dario network. “We have an important market segment which consist of Italian customers, but we are also present abroad, especially in Switzerland, England, Canada, Belgium and France where you can find our products in wine bars and restaurants”, says Roberto Bersano.
The production includes classic Piedmontese wines, from Barolo to Barbaresco, from Roero Arneis to Chardonnay and Cortese, from Moscato, another excellence of this winery, to dry and sweets sparkling wines. “We are experiencing a recovery from foreign markets for our wines after some difficult years” – Roberto describes “Cavalier Dario’s philosophy. The Ceretto winery was established by Riccardo Ceretto in the 1930’s. ​In 1968, Riccardo’s sons, Bruno & Marcello, purchased their first estate-owned vineyard Bricco Asili in Barbaresco, which was the start of many extraordinary vineyards and wineries to come.​

The third-generation children of Bruno and Marcello, Lisa, Roberta, Alessandro and Federico, joined the company in 1999. Federico currently sits as the company’s CEO, Roberta its marketing director, and Alessandro is head of winemaking for the family’s four Langhe estates.​ Focused on sustainability, in 2015 all wines obtained the organic certification in the EU and the farms many of its vineyards biodynamically as well.​

Today, the focus of the Ceretto family continues to be on fine wine production, in addition to gourmet food offerings, singular hospitality experiences and contemporary art.

Now owned by the Marenco family, who are Moscato and Brachetto specialists, the 11 hectare Contero estate remains one of the best producers of invigoratingly delicious Moscato d’Asti and Brachetto d’Acqui. The vineyards are situated on steep hills, on tufaceous-marl soils, in a perfect amphitheatre in the commune of Strevi (the heart of one of the best zones for Moscato in Piemonte).
The vines are superbly tended and produce fruit of stunning quality. The Moscato is lifted, fresh and frothing, while the Brachetto has a lovely rose petal character that emerges from the aromatic, grape-scented fruit.

Founded in 1891 in Castelnuovo Belbo, in the heart of Monferrato, Cossetti is a historic winery with over 130 years of tradition. Family-run for four generations, the winery has always been guided by strong values, deep respect for the land, and a long-standing dedication to quality winemaking.
Today, Cossetti is proudly led by Clementina and Giulia Cossetti, representing the fourth generation, a new era driven by two women who continue to honor the winery’s legacy while shaping its future.
The winery focuses on the production of native Piedmontese grape varieties, with particular attention to Barbera and Moscato, two iconic expressions of the territory.

With her proud and noble bearing, Lia was the most beautiful and sought-after girl in a small town in the heart of Monferrato. She was not of noble birth, but her gait, graceful movement, and the elegance of her simplest gestures made her more interesting and magnetic than any aristocratic woman. Everyone called her the “Duchess”. She was as sincere and authentic as her peasant origins, but the purity of her heart was able to elevate her soul and render her beauty magnetic.
It is from this tale, half truth and half legend, that the «Duchessa Lia» brand took its name. These are genuine, traditional Piedmont wines capable of conveying to everyone, without exception or exclusivity, the nobility and elegance naturally present in Piedmont...one of the most prestigious, diverse, and exciting terroirs in the world.

Like all beautiful things, Fontanafredda was born from a love story—the romance between the first King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II, and Rosa Vercellana, to whom the future king gifted, in 1858 as a token of his affection, the land where the winery stands today. Rosa, known as “La Bela Rusin,” came from humble origins. She was the daughter of the drum major of the Savoy army, and despite the societal norms of the time, Vittorio defied convention by marrying her and granting her the noble titles of Countess of Mirafiore and Fontanafredda. Together, they had two children: Maria Vittoria and Emanuele Alberto, the latter of whom went on to found the winery and helped elevate the reputation of Barolo worldwide.
From its earliest days, Fontanafredda has stood at the forefront of innovation. In 1886, it became the first winery to export Barolo beyond Italy’s borders. The following year, it introduced the first concrete fermentation tanks in Europe. In 1964, Fontanafredda created the first single-vineyard Barolo, Barolo Vigna La Rosa, and in 1988, it produced the first Barolo with a municipal designation by separately vinifying grapes from the commune of Serralunga d’Alba. In 2006, Fontanafredda was selected as the official wine for the Winter Olympics in Turin, coinciding with the start of its journey toward sustainability.
The true turning point came in 2008 when Oscar Farinetti and Luca Baffigo purchased the estate, bringing it back under Piedmontese ownership after 77 years. The new era of Fontanafredda was guided by three core values: quality, sustainability, and hospitality. In 2009, work began on the restoration of the Fontanafredda Village, which today includes a museum, a cultural foundation, three hotels, and two restaurants. As the estate evolved, recognition followed. In 2012, Barolo La Rosa 2008 was included in Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines in the World, and in 2017, Fontanafredda was named European Winery of the Year by Wine Enthusiast.
In 2020, a new Fontanafredda was born—better and more respectful of the planet. After years of careful reflection on how to create meaningful change, the estate embraced a new perspective. Five centuries after the first Italian Renaissance, Fontanafredda ushered in its own Green Renaissance. In this new age, the focus is on putting the Earth at the center, creating a global community rooted in trust and using wine—green wine—as a medium to build that vision. Sustainability is not just a goal, but a philosophy. Fontanafredda cultivates 120 hectares of certified organic vineyards, and has extended its environmental commitment well beyond the vineyards and cellars.
In the Fontanafredda Village, numerous initiatives have been implemented to reduce environmental impact. In 2022, a cogeneration and district heating plant was completed. Older lighting systems across the estate’s buildings were replaced with LEDs to reduce energy consumption. Solar panels generate over 200,000 kilowatt-hours annually, and electric vehicle charging stations are available on site. The estate also employs electric forklifts and, since the 2021 harvest, its first biomethane-powered tractor, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions in the vineyard. Water is reused and purified through a natural phytopurification system, then collected in the estate’s lake for technical reuse. Every element of the estate’s packaging is designed to be environmentally friendly. The glass is partly recycled and infinitely reusable. Closures are made from either cork or recycled plastic, and more than 70% of paper labels come from responsibly managed forests and are fully recyclable, as are the wooden and cardboard components.
Fontanafredda’s winemaking philosophy seeks to bring out the distinct character of each wine by nurturing the relationship between grape variety, environment, and human interaction. In the vineyard, controlled grassing techniques are employed. Synthetic fertilizers and herbicides are completely avoided, reinforcing the estate’s commitment to a natural and respectful cultivation process.
In line with this new Renaissance, Fontanafredda strives to tell the story of its land—starting with its own MGA (Menzione Geografica Aggiuntiva), Fontanafredda, located in the early part of the commune of Serralunga d’Alba. At the heart of this amphitheater of vineyards are four of the estate’s most historic and symbolic plots: Vigna La Rosa, which has been in continuous production for 70 years, Vigna San Pietro, Vigna Bianca, and Vigna Gallareto. Also noteworthy are Vigna La Delizia in the Lazzarito MGA, and Vigna La Villa in the Paiagallo MGA in Barolo—both originally planted under the direction of Emanuele Alberto, the founder and son of King Vittorio Emanuele II.
In the estate’s 19th-century cellars, large oak barrels made from French and Croatian wood (Allier and Slavonia) are used to age Barolo and other great Langhe reds including Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. Meanwhile, in more modern, state-of-the-art facilities, the estate produces white wines such as Arneis, Gavi, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Moscato, along with sweet sparkling wines made by the Martinotti Method and the elegant Alta Langa produced using the Traditional Method.
Today, Fontanafredda, with its vineyards located in the heart of Italy’s 50th UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to the country’s first Narrating Village. Scattered throughout the estate are 30 short stories that bring the historic village to life again—each plant, building, and view tells a tale to those who visit.
Open every day of the year, the Narrating Village offers guests a journey through the wines of the Langhe—from four-star hospitality to the finest in regional cuisine. Guests can stay in any of the three DCA ESG-certified hotels: Hotel & Spa Cascina Galarej, with panoramic views of the vineyards and its own exclusive restaurant; Hotel Case dei Conti di Mirafiore; and the elegant Foresteria delle Vigne boutique hotel.
Lovers of great food and wine will find their place at the historic Villa Reale, home to the Guidoristorante, where Michelin-starred chef Ugo Alciati and his brother Piero offer a refined culinary experience rooted in tradition, seasonality, and memory. For a more relaxed meal, visitors can enjoy traditional flavors at the Osteria DisGuido, sample wines from Fontanafredda and Casa E. di Mirafiore, or explore curated Italian wines from 101 Vini. The latest addition, inaugurated in 2025, is the Bar Fontana by Ugo Alciati, located in the village square. It offers a unique food and wine experience, celebrating the true flavors of the Langhe. A standout on the menu is the tramezzino, filled with iconic dishes from Guido Ristorante, including vitello tonnato and Russian salad.
The Narrating Village is also a center for culture, events, and meetings, providing opportunities to discover a unique and dynamic world. Within one of the historic buildings sits the E. di Mirafiore Foundation, dedicated to awakening critical thinking and encouraging cultural growth in an engaging and enjoyable setting. Visitors can also explore the estate’s historical wine museum, which takes them on a journey from 1858 to the present day through royal artifacts, historical pieces, and storytelling.
Lastly, there is the “Wood of Thoughts”, one of the last untouched forests in the Lower Langhe, covering 12 hectares and home to over 40,000 plants and century-old trees. The forest offers a 12-stop path for meditation and contemplation—a true “Hymn to Mother Earth”—where silence is encouraged to fully appreciate the beauty of the surroundings.

The farm first appears in the land registers in 1826, but the stone wine cellars and some of the farm buildings date from the end of the eighteenth century. Until 1985, the vineyards produced grapes for sale to local vintners and only a small quantity of wine was made. In 1985, encouraged by the famous producer Giacomo Bologna and returning to the customs of great-grandfather Giovanni, the winery began the raisining of Moscato grapes and the production of Moscato Passito Plasa Rischel, which won prestigious awards. The Loazzolo Vendemmia Tardiva DOC was published in the Official Journal on May19 th1992. The Loazzolo DOC is currently the smallest registered designation of origin in Italy.
The name of the winery, Forteto della Luja, derives from the name of the woodlands traversed by the Rio Luja that surround the vineyards. Since 20 07, the vineyards have been an affiliate WWF Oasis and in 2011 they became a Didactic Centre of the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo. The head of the nature oasis is the eco-vintner Giovanni Scaglione.

Following the tradition of the five generation of the Francone's family, Marco Francone create on 1990 a selection of wines from family's vineyards in the iconic hill "Gallina" from Neive, in the heart of the Barbaresco region and a wonderful terroir for Moscato grapes too. Now the winery is still owned by the Francone brothers, Marco and Fabrizio.

Gallo's Family owns this estate in Montabone (AT) from early years of '900, and always grow moscato grapes. But it is just in the 1999 that Gallo Giovanni has started to produce and bottle himself Moscato d'Asti DOCG, that quickly become one of the best-seller of the winery. Nowadays the company is in the hands of Giovanni's sons Carlo and Guido, the fourth generation of Gallo winemakers in Montabone, and Moscato d'asti Cascina Cabonaldo is exported in 7 different countries, across europe, Asia and north america.

Gancia, historical brand of the Italian wine sector, is an excellence of the “Made in Italy”. Carlo Gancia, the founder of the company in 1850, has transferred his energy and his interest in research and experimentation in Gancia, who in over 175 years of business, has always been one of the most innovative Italian companies.

In 1848, Carlo left Piedmont to go to Reims, the capital of the champagne production, where he studies and learns the technique of the champagne processing method: the champenois method. In 1850, he comes back in Piedmont and with his brother Edoardo founds in Chivasso the ""Fratelli Gancia"", to start to produce a wine like champagne, but using the Moscato grapes. For 15 years, Carlo experiences the production of champagne with Moscato grapes, until he can find the right balance: the ""First Italian Sparkling Wine"" was born in 1865. The Gancia Moscato champagne began to be known on the market and by the end of 1866 the first exports abroad began.
With the Gancia family, the industrialists of Canelli contributed to the formation of an industrial and agricultural model that was completely new in the panorama of Italian economic history.

Casa Gancia must also be recognized for having created the first Moscato-based White Vermouth at the end of XIX° century and for having led the battle for the abandonment of foreign names for our products and for the ""Asti"" denomination for Moscato-based sparkling wine, which became reality in 1931.

In 1870, Gancia receive the ""Regio Stemma"" by the King Vittorio Emanuele. The company begins to participate in national and international competitions and gets the first awards and prizes at exhibitions in Vienna in 1873 and Paris in 1878. Gancia became to be recognized as ""the only Italian industrial Company producer of Champagne"". Later they received the most important title of the time: ""Servitori della Real Casa"" and ""Provveditori di Sua Maestà il Re""

In 1915, Gancia is gaining notoriety. During the twenties, it starts a strong collaboration between Gancia and one of the most important Italian artists, Leonetto Cappiello, who made a series of three posters inspired at the time. 

In 1950, the fourth generation with Vittorio and Lorenzo Vallarino Gancia starts to work in the company. For the centenary of the birth of the company, a new logo, and a new product, ""Gancia Rosso"" (today Gancia Americano) are launched and the French artist Lucien Cayol realized the advertising poster ""the Aperitif Centenaire"".

In 1980 was born Pinot di Pinot, the first sparkling wine made from a unique recipe of three pinot grapes (white, black and gray), proposed as an aperitif and protagonist of various commercial spots and sponsorships: in the nineties it becomes the official sponsor of many offshore races in Italy and abroad.

The fifth generation creates ambitious projects such as the renovation in 2003 of the Gancia historical cellars, an underground journey of suggestive tunnels stretching for kilometers, where it started the project that brought the landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato and the Historical Cellars to become a World Heritage Site in 2014. 

In 2011, the fifth generation Gancia transfers the ownership to Roustam Tariko, well known Russian businessman owner of the Russian Standard Vodka. His goal is to return to the origins, to the history and the heritage of Gancia, implementing the attention to the product development and the synergy between modern and traditional know-how technology.

In 2025 Gancia celebrates 175 years of history, a history that speaks of passion, research, territory, respect for traditions and which is combined with the history of Italy since before its unification. From this strong identity comes the style of Gancia, which from the very beginning has been able to establish itself as a symbol of quality and authenticity, aiming to play a leading role in the international sparkling wines and aperitifs market.

Aldo Vaira’s wines are characterised by pristine flavours and clearly defined perfumes. These characters are attributable to the position of his vineyards at about 400 metres above sea level in the village of Vergne in the commune of Barolo. G.D. Vajra was established in 1972 and named after Aldo’s father, Giuseppe Domenico. Aldo has been gradually increasing the area under vine to 60 hectares, of which 10 are Nebbiolo for Barolo, located in such outstanding sites as Bricco delle Viole, Ravera, Fossati, La Volta, Coste di Vergne and Coste di Rose. A traditionalist, Aldo adheres to old-style winemaking methods, such as long ageing in barrel for his Barolo, but combines this with new techniques, such as a judicious use of oak, to produce superbly elegant wines.

The winery was founded in 1947 by the grandfather Eugenio. Gianni Doglia has produced wines in Castagnole delle Lanze (Asti – Piedmont) for over three generations. Owner and wine maker Gianni has a deep knowledge and love of the region. Supported by his sister Paola, and aided by the experience of their parents, they cultivate sixteen hectares of vineyards located in the municipalities of Castagnole delle Lanze, Coazzolo and Nizza Monferrato.
The decision to remain a small family-run company allows us to dedicate particular attention to the entire production chain, managing to best express the essence of a unique territory, a cradle of wine excellence and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Our story begins with Maria, born in 1940, who chose vineyard rows over school desks. At just 13, she was already driving the family's first tractor. At 19, she married Pierino Macario, and together they began cultivating a few vineyards in Castelboglione. Their wine was initially sold in bulk, but with hard work, the estate slowly expanded to include Barbera, Dolcetto, and Brachetto.
In 1968, their daughter Giovanna was born. A few years later, the winery moved to its current location in Nizza Monferrato to start direct wine sales and bottling. With growing customer loyalty, the family expanded vineyards and introduced new varieties, including Grignolino, Cortese, Moscato, and later, Chardonnay.
Giovanna joined the business full-time after her studies, bringing innovation to both vineyard and cellar alongside her husband Dario, an agronomist and winemaker.
Today, the winery is proudly led by Giovanna, with support from Dario and their daughter Giulia, an enologist—marking three generations of strong women at the heart of the estate.

Our company, MARIO RIVETTI CASCINA SERRE, is located in the municipality of Alba, in the heart of the Langhe region, at about 350 meters above sea level, on the top of a hill positioned centrally between the Barolo and Barbaresco zones, offering a highly panoramic view.
It was founded by our father in 1968 and has been managed by us, his daughters, since the early 2000s—making it a fully female-led operation.
The family-run nature of the business allows us to personally oversee every stage of our grape production: from cultivation to vinification, from bottling to direct sales of our products.
We own about 12 hectares of land surrounding the winery and produce the typical wines of the region—all from native grape varieties:
MOSCATO D’ASTI DOCG, LANGHE FAVORITA DOC, BARBERA D’ALBA, DOLCETTO D’ALBA, and NEBBIOLO D’ALBA.
The only international variety we grow is Langhe Chardonnay, which we vinify in a unique style using French oak tonneaux.
We work with a passion that has been passed down through generations, using sustainable viticulture practices to produce high-quality wines that fully express the union between the land and the grape variety they come from—all with a distinctly feminine touch.
Our vineyards, located at altitudes ranging from 300 to 350 meters above sea level, are mostly south-facing and set in calcareous clay soils that include the Marl of Sant’Agata—bluish marl layers with little sand, which impart elegance and longevity to the wines.
We follow Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices and are SQNPI-certified (National Quality System for Integrated Production), committed to social and environmental responsibility.
Our sustainable farming involves rational use of protective treatments, applying phytosanitary products only when strictly necessary, and always choosing those with the lowest environmental impact and least risk to human health.

Matteo Soria Winery is located in Castiglione Tinella, in the Langhe area. Matteo, the 4th generation of the family to manage the company, takes care of the vinification processes while the surrounding 40 hectares of vineyards are followed by his father Sergio. The winery is specialized in the growth and in the vinification of the white Moscato. With this grape variety Matteo produces wines that are 2 symbolic denominations of the area: Asti D.O.C.G. Brut, Asti D.O.C.G. Dolce and Moscato D’Asti D.O.C.G To obtain the best possible results, the winery works with the most advanced technologies in the oenologic field and it reached extraordinary quality levels.
We follow the priciples of the cold chain, which keeps the aromas and flavors of the grapes in the wine and, at the same time, stabilize the product allowing it to be stored and transported properly.
Our wines are subjected to strict controls to ensure that an exceptional product arrives on your table. Every week we vinify and bottle new Moscato: this allows us to guarantee our customers a product that is always fresh and with exceptional quality levels.

Our family has always been dedicated to agriculture with a Langa and peasant DNA. We are in Treiso, a township that became independent from Barbaresco in 1957, located in the heart of the production zone of one of the top three Italian DOCG, the Barbaresco, son of King Nebbiolo.
It is the grape varietal that more than any others have defined and will continue to define the history of our hills and of the national and international viticulture.
We are the heirs of this land and of this vine.
Many gradual changes have been performed by the successive generations who transformed
the grape-selling activity started by Giovanni Pelissero into winemaking of all the estate-grown grapes.
The first bottles of wine dated back to 1960 and were produced by Luigi Pelissero, whose work was followed by his son, Oenologist Giorgio who, after finishing his studies, decided to work full time at the winery.
The spirit of continuous research in the vineyard, and afterwards in the cellar, plus passion, commitment and innovative dynamism are our firm bases. A little example are the three tanks where we collect the rains for around 10.000 hectolitres of water that we use – instead of using the public one – to make our treatments into the vines. Without forgetting our agricultural equipment with tractors of the latest generation that permits a remarkable energy saving. And the pensile perennial garden upholsteries made on the last cellar extension, that permit a more natural control of the different building spaces’ temperatures.
Meanwhile into the cellar, the beginning of a research by selecting an indigenous natural yeast to keep, use and breed for the future years.
And last but not least the conversion we’re now adopting, to obtain all our vineyards cultivated with a sustainable agriculture.
All the evolutions and changes we are conducting every day are combined with the pride of having reached the third generation of viticulturists. Our philosophy has not changed, however: we only focus on original varietals that are typical of our land, particularly Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto, which represent about 85% of our production. All the grapes that we use come from the 42 hectares that we own, which are widespread among the villages of Treiso, Barbaresco, Neive, Neviglie and Alba.
We are able, with the help of knowledgeable colleagues, to directly supervise the entire production cycle, from pruning to marketing and sale of around yearly 250,000/300,000 bottles that we sell in more than 60 countries into the world, namely: Barbaresco DOCG Vanotu Riserva, Barbaresco DOCG Vanotu (this is the dialectal word for the name Giovanni, Giorgio’s grandfather), Barbaresco DOCG Tulin, Barbaresco DOCG Nubiola, Langhe DOC Nebbiolo, Langhe DOC Rosso Long Now, Barbera d'Alba DOC Tulin, Barbera d’Alba DOC Piani, Dolcetto d’Alba DOC Augenta, Dolcetto d'Alba DOC Munfrina, Langhe DOC Riesling Rigadin, Le Nature Langhe DOC Bianco, Le Nature Vino Rosso Barlet, Le Nature Mosto parzialmente fermentato, Moscato d’Asti DOCG.

Azienda Agricola Runchét was founded in 2012 in Treiso, Piedmont, in the Langhe’s hills UNESCO heritage site by Andrea Danusso and Beatrice Bongiovanni.After years of experience both in important local wineries and in foreign agricultural and wine production centres (Australia, Chile, New Zealand), we realised our dream of producing a range of wines according to our personal interpretation of making wine the old-fashioned way.We are the first generation to produce wine – we planted the Barbaresco Meruzzano vines in Treiso and the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines for Alta Langa in Serravalle Langhe.
Our philosophy is to make tradition contemporary through the use of modern techniques, knowledge and skills gained through experience.
We are part of FIVI, Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti (Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers), an association that especially protects small winegrowers like us.

Calosso, with its extensive vineyards, is a small village in southern Piedmont, on the last hills of Monferrato, on the edge of the Langhe. A bit of sand, some layers of marl and a good dose of limestone characterise the soil of this land. Unique in its kind, year after year, quietly working to produce wines of excellent quality. At the top of San Siro hill, surrounded by its vineyards, you will find the Scagliola Estate. For four generations, Scagliola family has been dedicated to the cultivation of its vineyards using healthy, careful and clean vine-growing techniques, in full respect of nature and the biological balance of the vines, with low yields per hectare. The phytosanitary treatments are inspired by the principles of integrated defence. Research in the field, along with meteorological data processed with the help of specialised wine technicians, make it possible to reduce the necessary interventions to a minimum. The use of fertilization is minimal and based only on the reintegration of consumption. We try to keep the grape yield under control right from the beginning of the vegetation cycle. In winter, when pruning, only a single fruiting cane, with a few buds, is left on the vine together with a renewal spur. In spring, the shoots are usually trimmed three times and some of the leaves near the bunches of grapes are removed to prevent mould attacks. During the summer, excess bunches are eliminated. This practice, called “green harvest”, is performed to reduce the quantity of grapes produced and maximise quality with greater results in the cellar. The skilful work in the vineyards, the rational use of technology in the cellar and the careful selection of grapes and musts produce a limited number of bottles, which express all the great potentialities of this region's wines, aimed at true connoisseurs. The estate extends over 40 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of 350/400 meters above sea level. From these vines, alongside the classics Moscato and Barbera, Scagliola family produces Dolcetto, Cortese, Chardonnay, Grignolino, Nebbiolo, Brachetto and Pinot Nero, in limited quantities.
Camillo Scagliola was born in 1889 and in 1939 set up the winery, where he produced the first barrel of Scagliola wine. He married Palmina Ferro and they had 5 children. Unfortunately, Camillo passed away at a young age and the widow had to raise the children alone. At the time, life was hard and spared no one. The children had to take care of one another when they were still very young. The Second World War made a further impact on the family, tearing the youth and the work force away from the land. At the age of 14, Giovanni Scagliola decided to move forward with his father's work, renting out some land that surrounded the house. Giovanni married his neighbour, Marcellina Barbero. Together they worked the land, cultivating not only vines but also crops and meadows; they also raised livestock and poultry. While Giovanni worked in the lands, Marcellina went by feet to sell their products to the nearby markets. All of this was under the dominion and control of the mistress of the house, Palmina. Giovanni then expanded his sales, bringing the cattle to the great fairs in Piedmont. There, he met several merchants who, in addition to cattle, also appreciated wine. Thus was born the Scagliola family’s wine trade in Italy. Maggiorino Scagliola was born in 1947 and immediately followed his parents’ footsteps. By accompanying his father to the fairs, he realised that there was more than just cattle sales. When his brother Mario Scagliola, born in 1959, entered the business, the desire to expand the wine market became stronger. Their main project was to transform the multi-sector estate into a winery. The first bottle of “Volo di Farfalle” Moscato wine was thus produced. In 1976 Maggiorino married Bruna Bussi, who immediately joined in the winery’s projects and completely immersed herself in its management. For several years, the winery dedicated itself to specialise in the production of bottles of Moscato, while the other wines were sold privately from the cask. The Scagliola family believes in the heritage and history of these lands and in their potential. So the Barbera, the typical grape variety of the area, is offered in its wide range of possibilities, as an excellent daily wine and as accompaniment to special moments. Thus were born “La Birba” Barbera Monferrato and “Frem” Barbera d’Asti. In 1996, Barbera Superiore “SanSi” and “SanSi Selezione” were produced, as the highest expression of this variety. Maggiorino and Mario inherited character, profession, vocation and skills from their parents, demonstrating that tradition is also a glimpse into the future, always on the double track left by the previous generation. Mario Scagliola married Emiliana Cesari, who immediately became part of the winery’s management. From the union between Maggiorino and Bruna came Silvia and Giovanni Scagliola who, after studying, joined in the winery’s large project. The new fourth-generation arrival brought the energy to take a new turn, as the world and the market have changed to become global and taste is based on a new model of consumption. The courage of the younger generation that has its feet planted in tradition brings the family to compare itself with the wineries that are shaping the taste of an international market, so chardonnay and cabernet have entered the challenge. This is how “Casot dan Vian” chardonnay and “Azord”, which is a blend of Barbera, Cabernet and Nebbiolo, came about. All bottles are dressed in specially tailored to labels created by the artist Massimo Ricci, who has long worked with the family and is a master at knowing how to extrapolate from each wine its deeper meaning, transporting it directly on the canvas creating unique labels and always originals. Naturally, Moscato and Barbera remain the winery’s most important products. The Scagliola family constantly aims to live by the saying: “quality over quantity” and, above all, they are absolutely certain that quality is created in the vineyard, not in the cellar. Martina and Federica, the daughters of Mario and Emiliana, are still very young but they already have the drive and determination to carry the family’s project into the future.

Founded in 1900, Scarpa combines an agricultural spirit with an innate vocation for hospitality. Passion, quality and commitment give rise to one of the most prestigious productions of iconic wines of Piedmont, conveyed by the historic winery in Nizza Monferrato, as well  as the hospitality offered by the Scarpa Villas nestled among the vineyards of Barolo, a UNESCO Word Heritage Site. Scarpa stands for purity, elegance and time. A remarkable selection of historical vintages attests to the quality and longevity of our winemaking style: from our symbolic Barbera d'Asti Superiore La Bogliona to the outstanding single vineyard Scarpa wines, all made from native grapes.

Our farmhouse was born at the end of the XIX century in Castiglione Tinella, in the Langhe protected by Unesco as a heritage site. I represent the fourth generation of a family of vine-growers, starting his first vinification with the harvest of 2014. My business is very small: 5 hectares on top of one of the oldest hills of the village. All my work is carried out by hand and we don’t use chemical weeding. For this reason, this kind of agriculture is called “heroic agriculture”. My winery has a total production of 10.000 bottles mainly from native grape varieties such Moscato and Nebbiolo.

Coming from a family of winegrowers and wine lovers, Pietro Forno began producing and selling the first bottles of Moscato in 1940.
Today the winery is manage by his nephews Giorgio, Fabrizio and Adriano Forno. In the years the cellar has been renovated introducing new innovations and buying new vineyards,  always respecting their tradition and their territory. 
They mainly cultivate Moscato and Barbera grapes, whose vineyards have the privilege of being located in the CANELLI DOCG and NIZZA DOCG areas respectively.

Tenute Neirano, located in the UNESCO world heritage site of Monferrato, belongs to the Sperone family which is being engaged in wine production for 5 generations. Founded in 1982 by Giacomo Sperone, over all these years the family has carried with passion the winemaking tradition by using modern production techniques and preserve the territory with sustainable management of natural resources. Moscato d’Asti marked the history of the first harvest and production in 1983 and since that year the winery has expanded the line with region’s foremost wines. Today, Francesca and Andrea Sperone take care of Tenute Neirano and Giacomo Sperone companies with the aim to bring the passion of our land and wines to new territories.

The winery was founded in 1988, when a family man, Raimondo Cusmano, left the city and his Sicilian roots to pursue his dream of making wine. Over the years, the projects grew, the vineyards expanded, and today we have 45 hectares spread across Monferrato, in Piedmont.

Every year, the magic moment of the grape harvest unites the suppliers to the company with the exchange of 14 million bunches of grapes selected and delivered to Tosti1820.

Tre Secoli means people—nearly 300 everyday stories intertwined among the gentle hills of Monferrato. Generations of winemakers have worked this land; entire families have been dedicated to this great mission since 1887. It is a project that has become a solid winemaking reality thanks to the union of two already important and established Piedmontese wine cooperatives: the Cantina di Mombaruzzo and the Cantina di Ricaldone.

The Cantina di Mombaruzzo, with its historic cellars dating back to 1887, is nestled at the bottom of a valley, surrounded by vineyards recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is an ideal place for cultivating the finest Barbera grape vineyards. Red wines are aged and refined in large oak barrels and barriques.

The Cantina di Ricaldone is located on the hillside of Ricaldone. From its panoramic terraces, it overlooks a landscape of vineyards. In its modern cellars, Moscato Bianco is vinified using the best technology available today.

This union, which encompasses the territory of 18 municipalities across the provinces of Asti and Alessandria, has created the largest wine cooperative in Piedmont, covering an area of about 1,100 hectares—400 hectares of Moscato Bianco, 160 hectares of Brachetto, 300 hectares of Barbera, and almost all the native and international varieties of the Monferrato region in Asti and Alessandria.

Additionally, it has created the ideal conditions for implementing quality systems and continuous improvement, both in the vineyard and in the winery, resulting in numerous certifications. Since 2018, the company has become independent in its bottled wine production, establishing a bottling facility for still, semi-sparkling, and sparkling wines.

Tre Secoli

Located in Piedmont, our cooperative born in 1959, with the aim of helping local families owning small parcels of land to develop together their territory involving two small villages Vinchio and Vaglio Serra. It comprises 200 family winegrowers who work in the uttermost respect of their vineyards.

The winery has always focused on the quality of its wines and was one of the pioneers in the conservation of old vines. In fact, at the end of the 1980s, when the trend was to replace vines that were too old, Vinchio Vaglio decided to identify its best vineyards, including vines over 50 years old, to produce a wine called Vigne Vecchie.

The production of this wine follows a precise process, from the meticulous work in the vineyards to the harvesting of the grapes by hand and in perforated crates to ensure optimum preservation of the grapes.

The cooperative's interest in its old vines led it to join the Old Vine Conference project. Set up by leading English Masters of Wine, including Sarah Abbott MW, the aim of this organisation is to put in place real measures to protect old vines while promoting their potential. This project became official in 2024 with the definitions and recommendations on old grapevines and old vineyards settled by the International Organization of Vine and Wine.

On the occasion of the cooperative's 50th anniversary, a major investment was made in a high-performance, innovative bottling line, making it the third-largest producer in Piedmont. The cooperative has developed a wide range of Piedmontese wines with a great variety of quality wines at different price point to fulfil markets' requests and needs.

Although it is still a long-standing producer of Barbera d'Asti at all levels focusing on modern labels which can have a good traction on international wine markets. More recently, in response to new climate issues, the cooperative has added an organic Barbera to its portfolio, and in July 2023 was certified ""Sustainable Winery"" by Equalitas. This latest project reinforces the cooperative's commitment to social, environmental and economic sustainability. Sustainability which means to protect the biodiversity of the land and the wood around the winery. In 2020, the cooperative launched the ""Path of Nests"", a unique trail path with picnic tables inside ""big nests"" made from willow trees. This is part of the wine tourism project started 10 years ago when the area became UNESCO World Heritage Patrimony. Moreover, the cooperative has always promoted employment of young people, under 30 years old, who work at the winery which favourites the local economic growth. In addition, the winery is solar panels equipped and since the beginning of 2024 starts using light weight bottles.
